The Oculus Quest 2 impressed us last year with the improved hardware, versatility and a reasonable price of $ 299. Those who were eager to get their hands on one of these VR headsets can now get two for one of the best prices we’ve ever seen. Until September 27, Oculus has entered into an agreement that gets a $ 100 discount on a second Quest 2 headset if you buy one at full price. That means you can get two of the 128 GB models for $ 500, or two of the 256 GB versions for $ 700.

Oculus improved its machine in almost every way with the Quest 2, and the device eventually earned a score of 89 from us. The headphones themselves are 10 percent smaller and more comfortable to wear for a long time, although it should take a bit of effort to adjust the fit of your head properly. Powered by a Snapdragon XR2 processor, the Quest contains 2 fast-switching LCDs with a resolution of 1832×1920 per eye, and although not introduced with this one, it does support 90Hz refresh rates. The controllers are larger than before, but they are still easy to hold, and they contain a little more space along the buttons of the gamepad, allowing you to rest your thumbs.

The minor design changes and the better processor help to make the Quest 2 an improvement over its predecessor in almost every way. It excels as a standalone and desktop headset, offering more realistic VR experiences. It does have some limitations on standalone games, mostly due to its mobile hardware, but that’s to be expected. You must also sign in with a Facebook account to use the Quest 2, which is also to be expected, but still a pity for those who do not use the social network.
