Pokémon Unite is now available for download and is ready to play on Android and iOS. It’s the same free MOBA with the same cards and monsters that launched on the Nintendo Switch in July, though Pokémon Unite The team recently released a new update in preparation for its mobile debut. In a post on the game’s official website, maker Masaaki Hoshino outlined the new features, starting with full platform support and linking accounts between mobile devices and Nintendo Switch.
The game also introduced Unite Squads, which allow coaches to work with teammates. According to The Pokémon Company, trainers can put together their own groups with this feature or search for existing ones. Teams can use ‘labels’ to describe themselves to give people with similar interests a way to find it. The update also offers a second punch with brand new cosmetic items, new games, new items and support for more languages.
Hoshino also mentioned in the post that the team is currently developing a new mode designed to level the playing field for all coaches, regardless of the grade of their items. While Hoshino does not explain the new mode, it can give people who do not spend a lot of money (if any) to buy items in the game a greater chance of winning against others who do.
